Laser scanning height measurement has the function of non-contact height measurement before cutting. At present, it supports three height measurement methods:
①Manual single-point height measurement;
②Automatic three-point height measurement;
③Automatic scanning height measurement.
The effects of the first two are the similar as the traditional contact height measurement. But the automatic scanning height measurement used here adopts a new method,Which can automatically generate a scanning trajectory according to the preset workpiece information. When measuring the height, the system obtains the base value automatically at the starting point of the scanning trajectory. Then it performs high-speed continuous motion scanning along the preset trajectory, and feeds back accurate height information through the laser sensor.
Compared with the traditional contact method, laser scanning method can greatly improve the detection accuracy. Meanwhile, it can avoid damaging the workpiece and ensure that the distance between the water jet cutting head and the surface of the workpiece is constant.
